About Me

Meet Dr. David Miranda, an exemplary Emergency Physician based in Austin, Texas. He stands out as a highly respected figure in his field, known for his precision, expertise, and passionate approach that has positively impacted many patients and healthcare professionals in Emergency Medicine. His peers recognize him as a leading ER doctor in Austin, a reputation he has built since starting his medical journey in 2001. His journey into medicine began with a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1993. His passion for medicine and the sciences led him to Cornell University Medical College in New York City, where he graduated in 1998. He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Northshore University Hospital/New York University School of Medicine, earning the 2001 Resident Research Award for outstanding research contributions. His research interests include musculoskeletal responses to exercise and digital medical record-keeping advancements.

Since beginning his practice in 2001, he has gained immense knowledge in the medical and surgical management of emergency conditions for adults and children. He is highly skilled in managing complex trauma and diseases related to the neurological, cardiovascular, pulmonary, and renal systems. His commitment to professionalism has been unwavering throughout his career.

David’s passion for teaching and medical research is well-recognized. He is dedicated to imparting basic science, academic, and clinical Medicine knowledge to students and professionals, earning him the reputation of being "the Professor" and the "Procedure King" among his colleagues. His significant contributions include developing an emergency surgical airway teaching lab in various resident teaching hospitals in New York.

He has also been deeply involved in community service and volunteering. His efforts range from mentoring educational programs, providing medical care to people experiencing homelessness in New York City, and participating in medical missions in underserved areas nationally and internationally. These actions highlight his professional competence and selfless service.

David Miranda MD’s profound understanding of Medicine and outstanding professionalism have earned him recognition as a top ER Doctor in Austin by the Austin Monthly Magazine. He holds active memberships with the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
